Why get an Aspen Back Brace?
Aspen’s innovative FlexTab design disperses pressure and naturally conforms to patient anatomy for increased comfort. Aspen uses a special tightening system that is called the “SlickTrack” which independently tightens from the top and bottom; this allows the brace to localize compression where needed for maximum pain relief.
Aspen braces are firm but have flexible back panels that naturally conform your back while still providing true structural support. Recent research shows that the effectiveness in relieving lower back pain depends on how well the brace improves trunk stability. Inelastic braces are more effective than elastic braces in augmenting trunk stiffness allowing overtaxed low back muscles to relax; Aspen braces, including the Horizon line, are inelastic by design. The Horizon 637 Back Brace
The most popular and effective brace by Aspen is the Horizon 637. This brace can be broken down into smaller pieces so when less support is needed it can be altered, and when more support is required on days of severe pain, the parts can be added back to the brace to support the whole back.
With that said, you are actually getting three braces in one; the 637 can be stepped down to the Horizon 631 LSO and also to the Horizon PRO for treatment of recurring back conditions.
Most Common Conditions the 637 Addresses
- Post-operative discectomy/fusion
- IDET procedures
- Low back pain/strain
- Lumbar disc injury
- Compression fractures
- Disc herniation and degeneration
